We are always looking for local apiary locations in the south Suffolk area

 

Typically an Apiary site would have a minimum of 2 hives, with no more than 10, subject to site suitability.

 

The location ideally and would be:

• Reasonably accessible by vehicle at times suitable for inspections and other specific manipulations (this could be dusk or dawn and on a weekly basis at the height of the season).

• Away from public sight and/or foot traffic

• Sheltered location (eg. Field borders, dense hedgerows, edge of woodland or scrubland) south/ southeast facing or dappled shade would be ideal.

 

Having an apiary on you land would mean an extra pair of eyes in a location, that is maybe not frequented that often; we could also maintain the apiary area, within reason, with your agreement.

 

We can offer some guidance as to exactly what to expect in hosting beehives on your property and would welcome discussion should this be of intertest.
